Another Christmas in July FB Live
Join me tomorrow night for another Christmas in July project on Facebook Live. We’ll be making an ornament treat holder. If you’d like to make it with me, you’ll need the following supplies:
- Piece of cardstock measuring 8 ½ ” x 5 ¼ “
- Coordinating designer series paper
- Ribbon
- Adhesive
MOTIVATION MONDAY
Need a little creative jump-start? Try starting with a simple card template! A template takes the guesswork out of the design, giving you a foundation you can customize with your favorite papers, colors, and embellishments. Just because the layout is the same doesn’t mean the cards have to be—let your creativity shine!
I used products from the Valley in Bloom Suite Collection to create my card.
Template measurements:
· Basic White Cardstock – 8 ½ “ x 5 ½ “, scored at 4 ¼ “ (cardbase)
· Basic Black Cardstock – 5 ½ “ x 3 “
· Basic Gray Cardstock – 5 ¼ “ x 2 ¾ “
· Smoky Slate Cardstock -3 “ x 1”
· Gray Granite Cardstock – 1 ¾ “ circle
SCRAP CARD SATURDAY
Every little piece of cardstock or designer paper has the potential to become something beautiful! Instead of letting those leftover scraps pile up, challenge yourself to turn them into a handmade card. A few strips of patterned paper, a die cut, a greeting, and an embellishment are often all you need to create a card that’s just as special as one made from a full sheet.
Using your scraps is a great way to stretch your supplies, reduce waste, and spark creativity. You might even discover a new favorite layout along the way!
Supplies and Measurements:
· Gorgeous Grape Cardstock – 8 ½ “ x 5 ½ “, scored at 4 ¼ “ (cardbase)
· Highland Heather Cardstock – 5 ¼ “ x 4 “
· Basic White Cardstock – 5 ¼ “ x 4“
· Violet Dreams Designer Series Paper – scraps cut down to 5 ¼ “ ½ “ strips (need 8 strips total)
· Framed Violets Stamp Set
· Ink – Gorgeous Grape
· Lazy Daisy 3D Embossing Folder
· Rhinestone Basic Jewels
Instructions:
1. Layer ½ “ strips of designer series paper onto the 5 ¼ “ x 4 “ Basic White cardstock.
2. Once Basic White cardstock is completed covered cut a random diagonal section from the center of the cardstock. You will have 3 pieces of cardstock now.
3. Use the center section of the cardstock and run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine in the Lazy Daisy 3D embossing folder. Then adhere to the piece in the center of the Highland Heather piece of cardstock. Stamp your sentiment diagonally below the piece of embossed cardstock. Add to your card base and embellish with Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
4. Take the remaining two pieces of cardstock that are embellished with the strips of DSP and add to the top and bottom of another piece of Highland Heather cardstock. Stamp your sentiment in between these pieces and add some of the precut images of flowers that come in the pack of DSP.

Is It Too Early to Make Halloween Cards?
If you ask a crafter… absolutely not! Halloween will be here before we know it, and getting an early start means you can enjoy creating without feeling rushed. It also gives you plenty of time to experiment with fun colors, spooky embellishments, and creative techniques before the busy holiday season begins.
For this card I used the Everyday Arches Dies to create my card base…reminds me of a tombstone! I’m featuring the Frightfully Fun Suite Collection. · Basic White Cardstock – 5 ¼ “ x 4 “, use 2nd to largest Everyday Arches die to cut shape to adhere inside the card; scrap piece to stamp ghost and greeting for front of card
· Basic Black Cardstock – small scrap to die cut bats
· Frightfully Fun 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper; use 3rd to largest die from Everyday Arches to die cut piece you want to use on the card front.

THE WILD BUNCH
I took my card I made yesterday and turned it into a birthday for a sweet little guy who turn’s 2 today! I stamped, colored, and fussy cut the cute little animals and presents from the Wild Bunch stamp set (June’s Product of the Month – sold out). I thought it turned out adorable! See previous post for measurements and supplies to make the flag.
HAPPY 250TH BIRTHDAY AMERICA!
Today I’m using my Real Red cardstock scraps to create an American flag card. I got this idea from France Martin, a fellow demonstrator, but my dimensions are different.
Supplies and Measurements:
· Thick Basic White Cardstock – 8 ½ “ x 5 ½ “, scored at 4 ¼ “ (cardbase)
· Basic White Cardstock – 5 ½ “ x 4 ¼ “ (base to build the flag on), 2 3/8 “ x 3 “
· Real Red Cardstock – 5/16 “ x 5 ½ “ (cut 7 strips)
· Basic White Cardstock – 5” x 3 ¾ “
· Swirls of Magic Embossing Folder
· Greetings for All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack
Instructions:
· Place the 2 3/8 “ x 3 “ piece of basic white cardstock in the Swirls of Magic Embossing Folder and run it through the Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine. Turn your embossed image over to the debossed side and use your Night of Navy Classic Stampin Pad to rub ink over it until cardstock is saturated but leaving the debossed images white. Glue this piece onto the 5 ½ “ x 4 ¼ “ piece of Basic White Cardstock in the top left corner.
· Place your scrap pieces of Real Red Cardstock horizontally on the card spacing them evenly. You will need to trim the excess off on the 4 strips at the top of the card that are placed beside your inked blue piece.
· Once you’ve completed the flag image adhere it to the front of your card base and add your sentiment.
CHRISTMAS IN JULY PART 1
