MOTIVATION MONDAY

A card template is a wonderful starting point when you’re looking for inspiration. Instead of wondering where to place each element, the template provides a basic layout that helps you focus on choosing colors, papers, stamps, and embellishments. You can follow the design exactly or use it as a guide to create your own unique version.   Think of each piece of cardstock as a place holder and don’t worry too much about measurements.

ANOTHER CARD FOR SIMPLE CARDMAKING WEEK

One of my favorite ways to create beautiful SIP (Stamps, Ink, and Paper) cards is by stamping directly onto colored cardstock.

When you start with a colored card base, the paper does some of the design work for you! A simple stamped image in black, white, or a coordinating ink color can create an elegant card with very little effort. Add a sentiment, and you’re done!

Colored cardstock adds depth, contrast, and personality without needing layers, embellishments, or specialty techniques. Whether you choose soft pastels for a delicate look or rich, bold colors for drama, the results are always stunning.

SIP cards prove that you don’t need a lot of supplies to create something special. Sometimes the simplest combinations create the most beautiful cards.

Supplies and Measurements:

·       Soft Sea Foam Cardstock – 8 ½ “ x 5 ½ “, scored at 4 ¼ “ (cardbase)

·       Flirty Flamingo Cardstock – 2 ¾ “ x 1 ¾ “

·       Basic White Cardstock – 3” x 2 “, 5 ¼ “ x 4 “

·       Ink Pads – Soft Sea Foam, Basic Black Hybrid

MOTIVATION MONDAY

Who says you need lots of supplies to create a beautiful card?

Today’s card combines several shades of purple to create depth and dimension using just stamps, ink, and paper. From soft Fresh Freesia to rich Gorgeous Grape, layering different tones of the same color family creates a stunning look that’s both simple and sophisticated.

Sometimes the most beautiful cards come from focusing on color and design rather than lots of extras.

Supplies and Measurements:

·       Fresh Freesia Cardstock – 8 ½ “ x 5 ½ “, scored at 4 ¼ “ (cardbase); ½ inch scrap for greeting

·       Gorgeous Grape Cardstock – 5 1/8 “ x 3 7/8 “

·       Basic White Cardstock – 5” x 3 ¾ “

·       Ink Pads – Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape

Endless Possibilities With Stamps, Ink & Paper

Sometimes the most beautiful creations come from the simplest supplies and that’s what I’m focusing on this week.

With just a stamp, an ink pad, and a piece of paper, you can create elegant florals, bold backgrounds, heartfelt greetings, seasonal cards, masculine designs, whimsical cards, and so much more. No ribbons, embellishments, or fancy techniques required!

SIP (Stamp, Ink, Paper) cards challenge us to focus on creativity, color, and design while proving that handmade cards don’t have to be complicated to be beautiful.

Join me this week as we explore the endless possibilities hidden in three simple supplies. You might be surprised by what you can create with just stamps, ink, and paper!

There’s something undeniably elegant about a card created in black and white.

Without color competing for attention, the focus shifts to the details—the artistry of the stamped image, the contrast of light and dark, and the beauty of a thoughtfully designed layout. Black and white cards have a sophistication that never goes out of style.

This is the perfect example to start this week off with!
