MOTIVATION MONDAY Carolina Craftin'

Today I’m sharing this color combination … Secret Sea, Pretty Peacock, and Lost Lagoon.  I made this card, which was designed by Brady Cox, at a virtual retreat this weekend.  I really love the combination of color and thought it was worthy to share.

SCRAPS EVERYWHERE Carolina Craftin'

If you’re anything like me, you probably have a growing pile of paper scarps sitting on your craft table.  They are too pretty to throw away, but too small (or too random) to know what to do with.  Sound familiar?

Here’s the good news: those scraps are actually little pieces of creative gold!  With just a bit of intention, you can turn them into stunning, one-of-a kind handmade cards.  Each Saturday I am going to post a card that I’ve made from my scraps I’ve been saving.  Join me this Saturday on Facebook Live as I will talk about the reasons why I save my scraps and give you some ideas of how to use them.

What’s one of the best things about being a demonstrator? Carolina Craftin'

What’s one of the best things about being a demonstrator?  Being able to order all of the new products first!!!  I just received my first pre-order in the mail for the new catalog coming out in May.  (Yes, I found more amazing products and ordered again😀).  Stay tuned for a sneak peek of some of these products this week!

MOTIVATION MONDAY Carolina Craftin'

I have another template to spark your creativity this week.  Best of all you can use up some of your scraps of paper with this card!  For my card I used scraps I had left from the Lovely Blossoms 12 x 12 Designer Series paper and the Banner Sayings stamp set with the Three Banner punch.

Template Measurements:
  • Basic White Cardstock – 8 ½ ” x 5 ½ “, score at 4 1/4″ (A2 card base); 3″ x ½ ” (sentiment)
  • Basic Black Cardstock – 5 ¼ ” x 4 “
  • Smoky Slate Cardstock – 3 ” x ¾ ” (5 pieces)
Tip: A different size or shape can be substituted for your sentiment.

A HANDMADE GOODBYE Carolina Craftin'

This card was made for a sweet coworker who is moving away.  This is a larger A9 card which uses a full sheet of cardstock folded in half so it would be big enough for everyone in my office to sign.  It features the Lovely Arrangement Photopolymer Stamp Set and dies.  The sentiment is from a retired stamp set.
