Today I used a template to create my card for Motivation Monday. My card features the Velvet Meadow Suite Collection (stamps and paper). I used Berry Burst cardstock for my base and to matte my stamped image. I used Peaceful Pine for my flag and used the Lazy Daisy 3D embossing to create the pattern on it.

Measurements:

Basic White Cardstock:

8 ½ ” x 5 ½ “, score at 4 ¼ ” (cardbase)
3 5/8″ x 2 ½ “

Basic Black:

5 ¼ ” x 4″
3 3/8″ x 2 ¼ “

Basic Gray:

5″ x 1 ¾ ” (flag)

Smoky Slate:

2 ½ ” x ¾ ” (greeting)

Today I’m using the new in colors for my inspiration for a color combo.

You can use just a couple of the new colors to create a card or all 5 of them like I did! I also used the brand new Balloon Festoon Bundle to create my card. This bundle is perfect to create a card for any celebration!

Velvet Meadow 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper

I wish you could feel this paper! It’s so soft and the velvet-finish texture is so special. Each sheet features colorful floral designs on one side and soft patterns in neutral colors on the other. I used different sides of the paper to create this wedding card.

I love when customers/friends send me inspiration from things they have been working on! Crystal shared this template and card she made used her leftover Paper Pumpkin kit from March. What’s great about Paper Pumpkin is once you’ve completed your kit you still may have some pieces leftover along with the stamps from the kit to make more cards! Thank you for sharing your idea, Crystal! Here are her template and card.

Here is what I came up with using her template for my own Motivation Monday card.

USE YOUR SCRAPS TO MAKE CARDS

Don’t toss it! Turn those scraps of paper into beautiful handmade cards.

If you’re anything like me, you probably have a growing pile of paper scraps sitting on your craft table. Too pretty to throw away…but too small or too random to know what to do with. Sound familiar?

Today I’m sharing this color combination … Secret Sea, Pretty Peacock, and Lost Lagoon. I made this card, which was designed by Brady Cox, at a virtual retreat this weekend. I really love the combination of color and thought it was worthy to share.
